Recent history:
In the past seven seasons, Cal has finished 1st, 2nd twice, 3rd twice, 4th and 8th once.
Over the past three years, we have stockpiled talent and have the nations #4 recruiting class (2015) and the nation's #17 class (2013)
We will almost certainly be a preseason top 10 team nationally and no worse than 2nd in Pac 12 preseason media polls.
How does that compare to our brethren?
Arizona is the clear top dog, no doubt about it. In that same seven year stretch, they have three 1st place finishes in the Pac 12 to go along with a 2nd, two 4ths and a 5th.
UCLA has three 2nd's, two 5ths, one 1st, and a 4th. That makes their average finish just behind Cal.
Arizona has had three consecutive top 5 recruiting classes so they are well stocked with talent. UCLA has similar talent to Cal with one top 5 class and two top 20s.
For folks who want to believe Brown and Rabb coming here was some sort of a crazy fluke, they aren't following the facts. No doubt our Bears need to perform better in the NCAA tournament but in terms of current talent, recent recruiting trends and P12 regular season finishes, we're the 2nd or at worse 3rd best program in the Pac 12.
