Just talked to the Connecticut linebacker for a bit. Full story coming, but here are the key tidbits:
Gonna be hitting up a bunch of guys today for reaction from the weekend.
- He loved the visit. Academics, coaching staff and everything Cal has to offer really made an impression on him.
- Furthest west he'd ever been before was Arizona when he was 7. The Bay Area impressed him quite a bit.
- Nowhere close to making a decision, but main factors that will influence his choice will be academics, comfort with the coaching staff, and ability to take his game to the next level.
- His interaction with Cal was super limited prior to the visit. Cal reached out, offered him, and he booked the trip to come check it out and meet the staff.
- While the time he spent with coaches, touring the campus and facilities, and the hoops game were all highlights, he said the view from the top of the stadium was the most impactful memory from the trip.
