I don't know how this percentage compares to other years. There were 34 5-stars in the 2015 signing class from which I think all these guys came. I'm not claiming this means 5-stars are overrated because let's be honest, 33% of all 5-stars getting drafted is a much greater percentage than 4-stars and lower getting drafted, and I don't even need to look at the data to know this.

My point is just to show that 5-stars are not some sort of panacea to winning college football games.

What IS interesting is every one of Alabama's four 5-stars were drafted in this class, and none of Tennessee's three were.

Kyler Murray was the 4-star, ranked #71.
