You don't get a Porsche when you pay for a Volkswagen

There sure is a lot of complaining around here. Sonny may not be the greatest coach, some of the things he does makes me scratch my head, but he's done pretty well with what he was handed. All you pencilneck knuckleheads, demanding the Rose Bowl this year, or else Sonny should be fired, make me puke. He was handed a dune buggy, in pieces and missing pieces. You expected a Porsche in 2 1/2 years, while giving him a budget for a Yugo. I don't know what happened at UCLA, but I'm with Coach Dykes 100%.

UCLA pays their assistants 80% more than us. Oregon 58%, Washington 57%, Arizona State 49%, and so on. Even Washington State, second worse in assistant's pay after us, in frigging cowtown Pullman, pays their assistants 11% more than the Pac12 last place us, in 2014.

We're the second richest school (in endowments), by a WIDE margin, in the Pac12 (Stanfurd is #1). Our operating budget is in the billions, and yet we're last in the Pac12 in what we pay our football assistants. Our budget is almost 3 times that of Washington State, and yet they pay their assistants more.

Any of you remember when Bill Walsh was the coach of the 49ers? Boy, did the fans put him through the ringer any time he lost. One of the greatest coaches of all times, Bill Walsh! The fans were just vicious. I remember one year when they lost a lot of games at the start of the season, the fans were apoplectic, calling for Walsh's head. And what do you know, he turned it around and won the Super Bowl that year. All the unreasonable expectations, and the nasty criticism that came along with them, made Walsh quit way before his time.

My point is, nothing goes smoothly. The other team works just as hard as we do. They deserve to win, just as we do (well, almost as much as we do :). Nothing is easy for anyone, especially when everyone else pays more for the same goal.

And now there's even posts popping up, on this and other blogs, brutally criticizing Goff and Treggs. Are you kidding me? What's wrong with you people? Jared is a helluva QB, and he puts it all on the line for Cal every week. Bryce is an impeccable receiver. He knows exactly where to go, and exactly what to do, on every play. Remember that play against Utah, when he ran between the CB and safety, and Jared threw the pass to the left of Treggs? There was lots of idiots who lambasted Bryce for running the wrong pattern, when in fact he ran a perfect route, I described what actually happened in an earlier post, so I'm not going to detail it here.

They didn't have their best game yesterday, but I'm with Bryce and Jared 100%. The rest of you can go furd yourselves.
