Serious question (mostly). If Ron Rivera gets fired after this season, which is starting to seem like a plausible scenario especially if he's beefing with Cam Newton (the owner loves Cam), would he take the Cal job? Maybe he decides dealing with NFL egos isn't worth it and he's ready to turn his alma mater around.
Would he be any good at recruiting? Actually not sure, and maybe we would be better off with a Fleck or Wilcox in any case. Hard to argue with a coach who's made it to the Super Bowl though...
