Dave Aranda – Wisconsin defensive coordinator / inside linebackers coach

The Badgers are No. 2 in scoring defense at 12.3 points per game, and Aranda’s defense has allowed 30 points total in six home games, including two shutouts. The 8-2 Badgers could be leading the Big Ten West if they’d gotten some offensive help in the 10-6 loss to Iowa on Oct. 3.

Mike Bloomgren – Stanford offensive coordinator / offensive line coach

Stanford’s 37.1 points per game are its most since 2011, and the Cardinal have scored at least 40 points in five of nine games. Behind Bloomgren’s line, sophomore running back Christian McCaffery is averaging 6.1 yards per carry.

Kendal Briles – Baylor offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach

With a true freshman quarterback making his first-ever start on the road, Jarrett Stidham went 23-for-33 for 419 yards, three touchdowns and no turnovers in a win at Kansas State. The Bears lead the nation in scoring at 57.4 points per game, which is more than 10 more points than the next closest team.

D.J. Durkin – Michigan defensive coordinator / linebackers coach

The Wolverines are No. 1 in scoring defense at 11.9 points per game, and Durkin’s defense posted three straight shutouts against BYU, Northwestern and Maryland. In the past two games, Michigan has not allowed a touchdown in eight red zone trips, forcing six field goals.

Mark Elder – Tennessee special teams coordinator / tight ends coach

The Vols are in the top 30 nationally in average offensive and defensive starting field position, thanks to Elder’s special teams units. Evan Berry is averaging 40.6 yards on 18 kick returns, including three touchdowns. Berry has a chance for the FBS single-season record for average kick return yardage, which is 40.1 per return. The Vols have five special teams return touchdowns this year.

Tony Elliott – Clemson co-offensive coordinator / running backs coach

In Elliott’s first year calling plays, Clemson is putting up 38.7 points per game, No. 15 nationally. In the ACC Atlantic-clinching game against Florida State, quarterback Deshaun Watson went 28-for-42 passing for 297 yards, one touchdown and no turnovers, and Wayne Gallman averaged 4.7 per carry.

Ivin Jasper – Navy offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach

Navy rolled past previously-undefeated Memphis 45-20, picking up 5.7 yards per rush in the triple-option. The 7-1 Midshipmen are scoring 35.4 points per game and averaging 5.5 yards per rush. Quarterback Keenan Reynolds will break the FBS record for career rushing touchdowns with his next one.

Craig Kuligowski – Missouri defensive line coach

The Tigers are No. 3 in tackles for loss per game (9.2) and No. 6 in rushing defense (2.9 per carry) behind Kuligowski’s line. That DL rotation includes no seniors and five freshmen. Last Thursday, Mizzou had 11 TFLs and three sacks against Mississippi State. The defense hasn’t been helped by the offense, which has one touchdown in its last four games.

Seth Littrell – North Carolina assistant head coach for offense / tight ends coach

With Littrell calling plays, the Tar Heels put up 66 points on a Duke defense that was allowing 16 per game last Saturday, and quarterback Marquise Williams set a school record for total offense in less than three quarters. The 8-1 Heels are scoring 40.1 points per game, No. 12 nationally, and they have just nine turnovers.

Todd Orlando – Houston defensive coordinator / linebackers coach

On Saturday, the Cougars forced three turnovers in a win over Cincinnati, including a pick-six, as well as forcing a safety. In Orlando’s first season, the Cougars lead the nation with 2.7 takeaways per game and are allowing 18.7 points per game in Orlando’s aggressive formations.

Phil Parker – Iowa defensive coordinator / defensive backs coach

The 9-0 Hawkeyes are No. 8 in scoring defense at 16.6 points per game, and cornerback Desmond King has tied the school record with eight interceptions. Iowa is also forcing 2.2 turnovers per game. In nine games, the Hawkeyes have allowed just three rushing touchdowns. The finish the season with home games against Minnesota and Purdue, before a trip to Nebraska.

Lincoln Riley – Oklahoma offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach

The Sooners have scored at least 52 points in four straight games since the loss to Texas and sit No. 3 nationally in scoring at 46.3 per game. Quartebrack Baker Mayfield is completing 70 percent of his passes and has 28 touchdown passes to four interceptions, along with five rushing touchdowns. The Sooners finish the season with games at Baylor, vs. TCU and at Oklahoma State.

Phil Snow – Temple defensive coordinator

The Owls started the year 7-0 for the first time ever, behind Snow’s defense, which is giving up 18.4 points per game. They allowed 40 points to SMU last week, but forced two turnovers and held the Mustangs to 3-for-12 on third down.

Brent Venables – Clemson defensive coordinator / linebackers coach

Against Florida State, the Tigers forced two turnovers and held the Noles to 2-for-12 on third down in a 23-13 win. Despite replacing the entire starting defensive line and returning only four defensive starters, the Tigers are allowing just 4.5 yards per play, which is No. 11 nationally. Clemson is also averaging 8.4 tackles for loss per game and allowing 3.3 yards per rush.

Frank Wilson – LSU running backs / associate head coach / recruiting coordinator

Leonard Fournette had no help against Alabama, consistently facing multiple defenders before reaching the line of scrimmage. Despite last Saturday, Fournette’s 1,383 rushing yards are still more than 36 teams, and he’s only played eight games. Wilson’s running backs have yet to lose a fumble this season. In addition, Wilson has secured 9 verbal commitments, third most in the country by any coach. With Wilson leading the Tigers' recruiting efforts, LSU currently has the No. 1 overall recruiting class in America.

Others: John Baxter, Brad Cornelsen, Manny Diaz, Luke Fickell, Lane Kiffin, Doug Meacham, John Pease, Glenn Spencer
