"Bay Area’s 2021 recruiting class is elite and deep"

Brandon Huffman, a national recruiting editor for 247sports.com, said the upcoming class in the Bay Area is a bountiful one, with at least four national prospects and a ton of depth.

“You’ve got to go back to 2014 to find a one-through-four punch as good as (2021),” said Huffman, who was at James Logan High School last weekend for the AveryStrong Northern California 7v7 Tournament. “You have two of the best five tight ends in the country, a top two receiver and a top 10 defensive end. It’s a class with a star-studded top and a lot of depth.”

It’s early, but Huffman said three of the four could end up in the Pac-12. He thinks Bowers has his eye on the SEC or Big 10.

Pals Terry and Calhoun have talked about playing together in college. Huffman believes Cal has a real shot at both.
