Watched this kid play in the LSU-Marquette game last night, televised from MSG I think. He had a stat line that included 27 points, 20 rebounds and something like 7 assists. They lost by a point. They lost again tonight, to North Carolina State. The Wolfpack double teamed Simmons the entire game, turning him into a passer. He had 14 rebounds and 11 assists to go with 6 points. Just a stat machine.
The amazing thing about him is how good a ball handler and passer he is at 6-10. Not that he is gonna give Magic a run for his money, but I can't think of anyone else that tall who could handle the ball and pass like that. No one. As much as I like Rabb and Brown, this kid appears to be a lot better.
