I am surprised that nobody has posted anything about the fantastic World Cup match between Argentina and France. It truly was a memorable match with many twists and turns, with the last 10 or so minutes of regulation, the 2 overtime periods and the shoot out being thrilling. Messi deservedly got his championship and now is in the conversation for world-football's GOAT (although Pele and Maradona are hard to dismiss). I was rooting for Argentina to dethrone the French defending champions, because despite the shocking loss to Saudi Arabia, the Argentines deserved their chance to claim the honor of being the best of the best. Yes, it was worth getting up at 7:00 on a Sunday.
