I really love "Bear Territory." Perhaps there's some inherent bias in that, because we do not normally break that cheer out until something good has happened, but nevertheless...

I also like "Give 'em the Axe" quite a bit but, given that it has little relevance outside of Big Game, I couldn't call it my favorite.

"Roll on you Bears" is fine for when we get first downs, but it does not do much for me.

I'm showing my age with this one, but my absolute favorite is "Oh Yeah." Have not heard it for years, but I sure do wish the Cal powers that be could bring back the dude that led that cheer in the late 70's and early 80's. Black cheerleader named Ben something or other. He was awesome. Or teach it to the current Mic Man. Give him something to do.

Perhaps it sounds like an old dude complaining (probably because it is), but couldn't the current Mic Men and/or cheerleaders contribute a little more than "Hey alumni, make some noise!" and a little rhythmic clapping? How about putting a little thought, creativity and effort into cheerleading? I understand that the job has probably gotten a little harder with all of the canned music and commercial announcements they pipe in when play stops, but the effort from the Mic Men seems really lacking to me.

Edit: I generally loathe piped in music but the one exception I would make is Tupac's "California Love." I really think the Cal Bears should just OWN that song.
