A definite level of eagerness from Justin Wilcox today to get his team going next week. He spent just over 15 minutes with the media looking ahead to spring practice. On the positive side of things, Wilcox confirmed that both Trond Grizzell and Jack Endries have been put on scholarship after breakout seasons in 2023. Wilcox says the team took the "appropriate action" in awarding both players scholarships.

On the negative side, a number of players will not be available this spring including: Spencer Brien, Lu-Magia Hearns, Tyler Knape, Ieremia Ieremia, Myles Jernigan, Curlee Thomas, Frederick Williams, Myles Williams, Julian Womack. All those players will be out this spring.

Running back Byron Cardwell will be eased into practice but should be a full go by the spring game after a knee injury took away his season last year. Wilcox says there are numerous players who will be eased into things this spring meaning there are going to be quite a few opportunities for others to see the field in the next several weeks.

We'll have more on today's session throughout the weekend, and I will be back at practice Monday as things get going at CMS.
