I know there's been a lot of debate about Cal's recruiting and are they brining in enough talent. Also, questions about the talent level for this season. In looking for Zack Follett highlights I came across a video of the emerald bowl v Miami. Oh man Cal had talent then!
Just a few names that I noticed quickly: D line Alualu, and Cam Jordan (and Derrick Hill)! Holy crap that was a talented D line. Then you had Follett and Mohammed, and WW. Alex Mack, Jahvid Best, Vereen, Cam Morrah, Mitch Schwartz, J Ross, Syd, and Conte. Unbelievable how much that team under-achieved.
I still think Cal could have a big season, but it is sobering to think how much less overall talent this year's team has than that one. Then again, HUGE upgrade at QB, which is a pretty big deal.
