Just read an article on the Web about the collapse yesterday of a fourth floor balcony in Berkeley that killed four or five people and seriously injured several more. A lot of them were Irish students here in Berkeley for the summer on "J-1" visas. I'm typing this from memory, but I think the apartment was at 2200 Kittredge Avenue, and that it was called the Library Gardens Apartments. Really sad. Wonder if anyone here lives nearby or knows more about this. Also wondering how may kids were standing on that balcony when it detached from the building.
