Ah, sorry! I'm really shy about this kind of stuff and I hope no one minds me taking a quick moment stop to being your Cal guy. (I would have done this in the podcast thread and taken up less room if there were any replies but that appears to be a sinking ship. Again, apologies.)
Anyway, for the last ten years, most of you guys have known me as your Cal blogger and I'm happy continuing in that capacity.
This post is mostly because I'm ready to finally more openly share two things:
Please don't feel pressured to support these endeavors whatsoever -- I just wanted to let y'all know it was happening, since, well, you already know way too much about what's happening in my life (and also, because it is pretty big for me personally to be able to say that with some openness to the world). 😅

This post is mostly because I'm ready to finally more openly share two things:
a) who else I am as a general writer outside of Cal football, which you can find here at: https://www.patreon.com/aguynamednam. I'm in my first couple days (and I probably should have waited before announcing for that reason but I was too excited), but you should get a pretty good idea this week of what I'm about: a short story that has genesis in my family history, and my experiences learning the EPL. So it's a little sports, a little pop culture, a little fiction, a little non-fiction. Who knows?
b) that i am also working toward a book that I hope to publish some day: a book about how Vietnamese people see time. About accents. About my great grandfather's grave. About what is inherited, and what is not. About half-lives. About the limits and frustrations of my tongue. About family. About me. About us. All of us. I am sure it’s about other things too, but definitely that stuff.
