Means to me that he's the REAL deal. With that limited # of practices and exposure to the team and the system to come in and clearly win the job suggests he killed it.
Heard some commentary this morning that teammates were surprised just how good he was - especially his passing accuracy and throwing on the run. Lockie had a good Spring and from what I heard was very solid so it's not like he beat out a chump.
What's this mean? That Oregon's offense may not take much of a step back. They are loaded at WR and RB and while thin at OL seem to have 6 good ones.
They will need him to be very good IMO as their defense is a big question mark. Another year removed from Aliotti, limited depth on the DL and lots of fresh faces that are unproven in the secondary.
