Do we have any excuse for not beating UCLA? They have been decimated from injuries and just got beat up by a Stanford team many on this board continue to say is no good (although likely that is just silly rivalry hate). So I see zero reasons why we should not beat the Bruins and beat them handily...unless we are not the team we think we are (or should be). This is a huge game for our coaching staff and offense to show they are for real. Anything less than 42 points is unacceptable IMO.

Keys on offense:

Play fast. We have not done that much of the year. Not sure why but it is crucial against a team that is not deep.
Play Lasco and Muhhamed and largely leave the rest of the RBs on the sideline. It's time for the seniors to be leaned on. Lasco must step up. We need him desperately.
Same goes for the WRs. Stop playing too many people. I think this continues to be a big mistake. Keep the young players off the field.
Get Treggs the ball early. No excuses not to get one of your top playmakers involved early and often.
Call some plays that are run only so that the whole offense knows it is a run and can block accordingly. I really do not like this "every play is a run pass option with Goff making the last second call". It has hurt our rushing a lot IMO.
Throw more deep balls and more quick short passes. We throw too many medium passes and not enough short and long ones IMO.
Show some creativity. Trick plays. Misdirection. Something to roll the dice. We need to score more with big plays as we have struggled to piece together long drives.
If we get a lead, go for the jugular. No more trying not to lose, let's play to win all the way.
Use more OL blockers and less WRs more often. Given time and comfort, Goff will find people.
Do everything you can to start fast. Have a script of plays you really think will work and use them early. Maybe even do a two minute drive type offense to start.
No more punt fair catches. Stop it. Please.
