EKG came back negative after that 4th quarter thank god.

Seen a lot of crazy Cal games but never one like tonight. A win is a win but this one hurt. I will refrain from any thoughtful review until after I review the game on TV but a couple of quick thoughts.

Our 2nd half adjustments on defense and the way we played were incredibly encouraging. We got tired and frustrated a bit in the 4th quarter and 3rd and long was horrific for us. Biggest long term issue I saw was safety play. Against a running QB, you have to tackle in space and once Drew went down, we were athletically outmatched. Rubenzer and Walker had rough games, Luke in particular at least live looked SLOW in the 4th quarter. Drew left the game in a full boot (cross your fingers it's precautionary).

Coaches will have some stuff to clean up on their end from blown coverages (twice) to 2 TOs that we were forced to take that hurt us because of substitution issues.

The decision not to rush four late turned out to be the wrong one. Prevents work more often than fans think but ONLY when you get pressure. Live you could see hands on hips and tired defenders late.

Offensively, we owned the LOS until our last three possessions and then it seemed like we lost the mojo. Would have loved to see them leave McMorris in the game and just run off tackle every snap.

Oh well, will sleep on this one with a smile and will break down film on Monday night when I get home.
