Hey guys, I just got off the phone with Dion Brown, Sr. the father and coach of key Cal hoops target Jordan Brown, class of 2018. Dion called me while I was in a 7-11, so we didn't really have a formal interview or anything. I am scheduled to chat with Jordan on Sunday, so that will be a formal interview. Anyways, Dion said that Jordan has taken two unofficial visits to Cal and was present at one of the football games. He said Jordan had a lot of fun at the football game, walking on the field, etc. He said that he himself really enjoyed Cal-Berkeley as did Jordan's mom, so it sounds like the entire family was really impressed with the school. Dion told me that so far, it's been nothing but a positive experience for Jordan at Cal-Berkeley. He says Jordan had fun watching the team practice, meeting Jaylen Brown, etc. He also added that Jaylen was really impressed with how hard the team works, etc. So, in essence, from Dion's perspective, Jordan has a great relationship with the staff, really likes the program, and definitely has good feelings towards Cal. Obviously, this doesn't mean Cal will land Jordan. 2018 is a long ways off, but still, this is nonetheless encouraging. My post here is a little bit all over the place since I'm jogging down what Dion said from memory and I'm doing it over my phone, haha. I didn't have a pen and paper handy while I was at the 7-11, but I figured if now was a good time for him to talk, I would talk with him and deliver to you guys whatever information I could.
