take it for what its worth, so I heard from someone at a viewing party that supposedly knows Goff's dad and heard that theres a very good chance that Goff returns for his senior year according to what hes heard from his dad.

from a development standpoint i think he should stay another year. i think he could get better and that he still has a lot to work on. i dont think that hes good enough at post snap reads yet. i think it would be better to spend the year playing vs holding a clipboard. hes not ready to start in the nfl. I think that no matter where he gets drafted, if the team that drafts him is looking out for him, hes sitting next year, not starting. he probably could use another 10 lbs ideally before being an NFL starter

from a money standpoint, i think its tough to pass up. its a weak year for qbs and i think theres a good chance he goes top 20,especially because i think that he'll blow scouts away in workouts when they get a look at his footwork.

you know though, im not too sure how much money comes into this equation though because Goff doesn't strike me as coming from a family that isn't fairly well off.

I think that it will come down to what his family thinks is best for his development. thinking about it, if there is ever someone that does come back like this, it would be him, a legacy kid that grew up a Cal fan.

one thing is for sure, if goff comes back, sonny is a very lucky man. have to think that he puts up a 7-8 win minimum kind of year next year and nets sonny an extension instead of it being a rebuilding year and sonny a lot more likely to get fired.
