Here is what I can tell you about Dejan Vasiljevic: Our coaching staff thinks he can be a really good player. They like his potential a lot. However, they have not made an offer to him at the moment. That being said, given what they think of him, I expect them to make him an offer given that he could give the 2016 recruiting class some redemption. Landing him would provide some cushion in case they don't get Charlie Moore and even if they do get Charlie Moore, there wouldn't be competition for minutes since he is a shooting guard and Moore is a point guard. I haven't watched film on Vasiljevic yet, but knowing how much he can score, he seems to be cut out of a very similar cloth as Jordan Mathews.
Also, it is reported that Vasiljevic will visit Cal on December 12 to watch the St. Mary's game. This makes sense given that Vasiljevic is an Aussie and St. Mary's has recruited a lot of Aussies. However, the best I can tell you about his visit date is that it's all a very fluid situation and a lot is still up in the air at this point. So, I don't refute the report about him visiting Berkeley on December 12. I'm merely telling you guys that I cannot confirm that for certain.
But for what it's worth, I believe that the report about him visiting on December 12 is correct. I'm trusting that report on good faith since it's reportedly coming from Vasiljevic's camp and I haven't yet had a chance to contact his camp. So, I'm sure that's the plan, but it sounds like it's all still somewhat tentative and subject to change. Also, reports are indicating that Vasiljevic plans to make his decision in mid-late January shortly after his visit to Stanford. That's the lowdown on Vasiljevic.
