Wallace is killing us, not helping us. It took him fifteen (15) shots from the floor and fourteen (14) shots from the charity stripe to amass 18 points last night. Three turnovers to four assists. An ugly assortment of wild shots, and many of his forays into the lane resulted in no shot at all; just him getting stripped or getting packed (i.e., a particularly ignominous block that is put right back in the shooter's face). Those don't count as turnovers, but they should.
On defense, Wallace did not fight through high screens effectively, and when our big (frequently King or Rooks) switched onto Wallace's man as he drove to the hoop, Wallace just gave up rather than switching onto the Husky big man setting the screen, resulting in several dunks and easy put backs for their bigs. Not good.
I've seen enough. As flawed as he is as a scorer, Singer does not turn the ball over near as much, and he is considerably better at facilitating things for his teammates. Wallace is where our offense goes to die. I would MUCH rather have Singer on the floor. Sorry, JB. Just pointing out the obvious.
