I was on a Zoom call tonight with 9 other donors, Mark (in Florida, lucky dog), Jim and some other members of the Cal athletic department. I really cannot share a lot of information, but feel comfortable mentioning generally a few things. First, the injury situation with which Mark has had to contend this season is far worse than I knew previously. Bowser, counted on to play SG, and DJ, an athletic big, will not be seeing court time any time soon; But, Marsalis may be capable of playing before too much longer. Foreman, Hyder, Celestine and Andre are in various stages of recovering from nagging injures. That's a long list for the wounded and certainly presents depth-related issues and limits the rotations that Mark can use. But the good news is that the practice facility is much further along than I had guessed, thanks to Jim Knowlton's efforts.
