Just finished the first half against the "spiders.". A few observations:
1. There were a lot of mismatches on defense where they had taken us to the post and either scored or passed out for the three.
2. Richmond had better action in half court offense.
3. Cal is better at transition offense and difficult to stop especially when JB has a full head of steam.
4. Richmond had a ton of layups. Where was the cal D?
5. It seems like Cuonzo really liked our smaller lineup but gave up a ton on defense.
6. Our half court offense is atrocious and can work only against inferior and less athletic teams.
7. I dont think guys are running the offense effectively. i ve seem Tyrone gesture nonstop at top of key multiple times to rerun plays when the initial play that theyre running are not working bc guys arent doing what theyre doing effectively ie properly picking your guy.
8. bc of #7 there are a lot of one on one plays toward the end of the shot clock.
9. Our team is better at early offense but only if we can get some stops which did not happen in this game.
