Who else is making it out to Austin? This is a trip I've been looming forward to for a while. Never been to Austin, so really looking forward to the city, as well as the game.
I know it was mentioned in a previous thread, but can someone who's been to Austin give a breakdown of the bar scene? I know there are a few distinct areas that each have their own vibe. Any must see bars? Any good live music there that weekend?
I plan on spending most of the daylight hours eating brisket. Will definitely be doing La Barbecue in Austin, as well as driving down to Lockhart to check out Black's, Kreuz, and Smitty's. Might try and squeeze in Franklin, but not sure we'll make it.
Looking forward to sharing a few Lone Star's and Tito's this weekend. Go Bears!
