In regards to Cal, he says in the article that the reason Cal made the list is because of his relationship with the coaching staff, the academics, and also the fact that Cal needs more big men in the future.
The Gopher Report believes that Minnesota and Marquette are the front runners for his services. He is from Minnesota and thus has a strong relationship with the Minnesota Gophers program. Marquette he is also really tight with and is very familiar with. But, to be clear, he has a great relationship with the Cal staff as well and is obviously intrigued by Cal due to its academics and location on the West Coast.
As far as a timeline for a decision, he plans to make his decision by mid-September once all of his visits are done. As a reminder, he's visiting Cal the weekend of August 26, the same weekend that Cal football plays Hawaii in Australia.
