I thought our special teams play was fairly good against the 'Horns. Daje Johnson is a legitimate home run threat, and I think we held him in check pretty well, at least on special teams. One close offsides call, and that was the biggest negative I can recall. Do you think Anderson should be kicking deep more, or kicking it hard down the middle, on the ground?
What did you think of our return game? I don't recall anything much about it, which tells me it was not extraordinary, but certainly passable. Their kicker put a lot of kickoffs out of the end zone, and my recollection is that our punt returns were largely fair catches. No fumbles that I can recall..
What did you think of Anderson? Hard for me to get that hooked field goal attempt from the SDSU game out of my mind, but he has not replicated that, and he is getting some of his kickoffs into the end zone. Hope he is learning and improving because, one of these games, his ability to hit a field goal may be determinative.
