Cal has received a commitment from three-star point Sam Singer out of Miami (Fla.) Ransom Everglades.

looks like a strong PG. jabari Bird got everyone's attention and now Cal recruiting is on fire, Lee would finish the Monster class (and possibly Jones too)

Montgomery is on fire! Singer looks to be a great addition to the Cal program! All great programs need players like Singer. He's looks like he is the type of player that won't be flashy, but just steady. I actually think getting Jones is the key to the future for this recruiting class. Cal needs a "powerful inside presence" on the glass and defense to really have a chance to compete for a title...Jones is that guy!

An interesting note related to Sam Singer's commitment to Cal is Monty has recently recruited guards who are at least 6'4" and possess skills. Singer appears to be "money" with his perimeter jumper, and has the handles and footwork to get inside for dishes and scores. He's a solid and intriguing "get".

6-4 guards with skills are better than 6-1 guards with skills (generally)
    Cal's moving on up!

Monty has specifically targeted tall combo guards with skills and who can shoot and score.
